  • how to obtain business liability insurance (and how much you'll need)

  • how to create a daily schedule for your daycare

  • how to name your daycare (including how to do a trademark search and how to ensure that your name will be approved by licensing)

 

Weeks Three and Four: Setting Your Home Up For Daycare

  • How to set up your indoor and outdoor space for daycare

  • How much indoor and outdoor space you'll need for each child

  • How to set up each of the stations in your daycare, including:

  • How to put together a legal child care contract

  • How to create an acceptance form

  • How to put together a polices and procedures handbook for parents

  • What state forms you're required to have your clients fill out

  • How to create a permission forms for clients to sign

    • media permissions

Weeks Nine and Ten: Marketing Your Daycare

 

By the end of week ten, you'll have learned:

 

  • How to set up social media pages for your daycare

  • Free and low cost ways to advertise your daycare business

  • Different types of marketing materials for your daycare, and where to get them 

 

Weeks Eleven and Twelve: Interviewing and Enrolling Clients

 

By the end of week twelve, you'll have learned:

 

  • How to screen potential clients (and avoid nightmare clients 😫)

  • How to conduct a phone interview

  • How to conduct an in person interview

  • How to enroll clients into your program

  • How to provide impeccable service to your clients
